چکیده

Human Embryonic Stem Cells (HESCs) have an important role in the futuristic medicine. A regenerative medicine with stem cell can be used to treat various diseases such as cancer, Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, Type 1 diabetes mellitus etc. Biologists are interested in the number of non-dynamic blebbing single unattached HESCs (NDBSU-HESCs) in each assay. The statistics serve as part of the analytical data on each chemical agent’s attribution to the chemical reaction of the single unattached HESCs. However, there are lacks of current methods to help biologists to study the HESCs in large volume. As the result, we propose a method for NDBSU-HESC detection by using multiple trained classifiers. Our method uses a process of elimination concept. Each classifier eliminates unmatched properties of the NDBSU-HESCs. The paper validates our method with a video captured from the BioStation IM.

Large-Scale Expansion of Human Embryonic and Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells for Cell Therapy Applications

Successful isolation, derivation and culturing of human pluripotent stem cells, including human embryonic stem cells (hESCs) and human induced pluripotent stem (hiPSCs) cells in laboratory scale has opened new horizones for cell therapy applications such as tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. However, most of the cell therapy protocols using these unique cells require large number of ...

P-50: Elongating and Elongated Spermatids Manufactured In Vitro from Non-Human Primate Pluripotent Stem Cells

Background: We have recently shown that human embryonic (hESCs) and induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs) can differentiate into advanced spermatogenic cells including round spermatids by in vitro culture (Easley et al., Direct differentiation of human pluripotent stem cells into haploid spermatogenic cells. Cell Reports 2, 440-446 2012) and also, in collaboration, that rhesus spermatogonial ...

Mesenchymal Stem/Stromal-Like Cells from Diploid and Triploid Human Embryonic Stem Cells Display Different Gene Expression Profiles

Background: Human ESCs-MSCs open a new insight into future cell therapy applications, due to their unique characteristics, including immunomodulatory features, proliferation, and differentiation. Methods: Herein, hESCs-MSCs were characterized by IF technique with CD105 and FIBRONECTIN as markers and FIBRONECTIN, VIMENTIN, CD10, CD105, and CD14 genes using RT-PCR technique. FACS was performed fo...

Co-Transplantation of VEGF-Expressing Human Embryonic Stem Cell Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells to Enhance Islet Revascularization in Diabetic Nude Mice

Background: Pancreatic islet transplantation has emerged as a promising treatment for type I diabetes. However, its efficacy is severely hampered due to poor islet engraftment and revascularization, which have been resulted to partially loss of transplanted islets. It has been shown that local delivery of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) could accelerate transplanted islet revasculari...

Differentiation of human embryonic stem cells into neurons

Human embryonic stem (ES) cells are undifferentiated pluripotent cells derived from the inner cell mass of blastocyst stage embryos. These unique cell lines have the potential to form virtually any cell type in the body and can be propagated in vitro indefinitely in an undifferentiated state. These cells are capable of forming embryoid bodies (EB) that contain cells from all three embryonic lin...
